Thank you Lou Deeter for that Gios Compact that I ride like a scared rat in the streets of Stockton, CA, crowned for the second time in 3 years as the Most Miserable City in the country by Forbes.com. It's a small bike, which Lou's daughter kept in simply mint condition, with hefty pantographed lugs and those proprietary rear dropouts that make for a deceptively short wheelbase. This means that the bike is quick and responsive, and, gratefully, not at all flambuoyant in its gentle Gios blue livery. Now, that azure blue Bruce Gordon is eyecatching, even cute, and although the bike is meant to be quick as evidenced by the lack of eyes, I'm not. So, the BG, with all the tempting delights of Campagnolo aboard, does not mingle with the natives.
