Cleaning out the garage, lightening the load. All prices except for the frame include shipping; contact me for a quote on that one. Pictures of anything on request, but this time these are not my usual polished and lubed sparkly bits; I suffered an industrial accident Sunday that has resulted in the temporary loss of use of my left thumb, so my dexterity sucks just now. Prices have been adjusted accordingly. Paypal friendly, despite the exhorbitant fees. Contact me at derek@frameref.com Apologies in advance to Dale for the couple of items that fall just outside the timeline. Discounts for a single shipment of multiple items, and, if you think my prices are out of whack, let me know, eh? Without further ado
Romani track frame, probably early 80s 59cm C-T, 57cm top tube. English threaded BB, chromed Campy dropouts, bare frame weight 4 lbs. 13 oz., making it what Columbus SL/SP? True track frame with nice details, seatstay bridge not drilled, slotted BB shell, nicely thinned lugs with multiple window cutouts, emerald green metallic main triangle with mint green metallic stays and lug windows. Paint is good, with the usual chips, no dents or any real rust to speak of. Typical Italian decals, about half gone, no clear coat. Fork is not original chromed, drilled for a brake. This frame came to me with a minty Campy SR pista headset and NR pista BB which have already gone to other CR listers. Too nice for the beater bike life I was going to give it. $275 plus shipping.
Cinelli oval Milano logo 1A stem, allen bolt, 120mm. Not perfect, but shiny and really quite excellent. $60.
Cinelli Perfection bar, 40cm. Excellent to mint, with some tape residue but no major marring, near perfect ferrule. This is the first gen of this bar with the Perfection logo in an oval rare model, DEEP drops, sort of the bastard stepchild of a 65 and a 66. $90.
Campy SR one-bolt 27.2 180mm seatpost, shiny and free of corrosion, but with minor insertion marks along full length of shaft and about halfway up the flutes. I think theyll probably polish out with little effort. Ask for a pic if youre worried. $55.
Early Campy two-bolt seatpost, 26.6, 180mm, probably GS based on the machining marks on the shaft. No engraved minimum insertion mark making it, what late 60s? Exellent, in need of a polish. No zig-zags on the shaft, with a caveat some clever bloke routed a centerpull brake cable through it! One hole, about 5mm in diameter, in the front of the post and two 2mm holes in the rear. Top of highest hole is 75mm from the base of the shaft, leaving you 105mm of unadulterated post. Or, its a drillium project! $45.
SR Road Champion randonneur bars, 25.4mm ferrule, 42cm to outside edges. Wreath logos, with the left side marked Sakae Randnner were these all misspelled? These are riders, not showpieces some marks on the ferrule, tape residue and lever marks on the bars, but no deep gouges. $25.
Dia-Compe New Gran Compe brake levers dont know the model number. Theyre like NGC200s only smooth rather than slotted blades. Blades are shiny and near perfect, clamps complete; no hoods or barrel adjusters. $20.
Shimano BR-M730 cantilevers, cold forged, shiny, not the later low profile, so mid 80s? Complete set of four calipers with 80% Mathhauser salmon pads, no cables. Need to be cleaned up a little, but would sparkle with some love. $55.
2nd generation Chorus BB, circa 92, English thread. NOS takeoff mounted on a bike but never ridden. Chrome cups, 111mm symmetrical spindle marked with shield logo and 68-SSA for earlier Chorus and C-Record. Bearings (in plastic cup) and sleeve included, no bolts. $75.
NR BB, thick cups, English thread, spindle marked Brev. International with globe logo, 120-SS. Excellent races, near perfect but for one pit on the drive side of the spindle. Cups and spindle only, no bearings, sleeve or bolts. $50.
Campagnolo Velox rear derailleur, excellent, shiny chrome and minty pullies, complete with hanger, but missing the washer that fits between the hanger and the cloisonné hex bolt. Steal the bolts for your Carleton? $25.
Modolo Speedy calipers, silver, short reach recessed. Later Shimano replacement pads. Sort of dirty, but clear, complete and unmarked. $30.
Campagnolo Victory crankset, 170mm, 53/42, one-key releases intact. Rider plenty of chainring life left but lots of small scratches on the arms, likely too deep to polish out. Still, for a beater bike $45.
Specialized Flag logo cold forged triple crankset, 180mm for you tall gents. Slightly better condition than the Victory, but still a rider and not a showpiece. Sugino Audax one-key bolts, currently wears MTB (GASP!) chainrings, a mix of Sugino and Takagi, 24/24/46. Rarer size, though. $75.
Simplex SJ810 rear, rider. Complete and mechanically excellent, pivots are tight, Delrin looks good, as does the body face. Cage, however, is quite discolored. $25.
Single Simplex bar end shifter. Mechanically excellent, but not pretty. No rubber lever cover, some corrosion and marks on the body. You could polish it, I bet. $10.
There is, potentially, a pair of Phil hubs, circa 84, 36 hole, 126mm rear, both Q/R, built once 4X, in storage for years. Some minor rust flecks on the barrels that would probably clean off. Minty curved Campy skewers included. $150, assuming the member Ive offered them to isnt interested. These will be cleaned and lubed before I ship them.
Thanks for looking,
