I've been tring to find information on the bike Boardman rode for his hour record all the articles say, " Boardman rode a conventional frame constructed from steel tubing and fitted with spoked wheels and other components that would have been available to Merckx 18 years ago." Does anyone know what that means. Did he drill-out the bars and seatpost like Merckx? Did he have specially cast Ti parts like Merckx? Did he go to the same lengths Merckx did, or was it really just an "old" bike? I can't seem to find any info on the bike itself, anybody have any leads?
thanks, brandon
