People, people, people. . . This is the 4th e-mail I have recieved like this. Not only does this annoy the hell out of me that people are questioning my post, but also they don't know the rules they're trying to enforce. I know the rules now since the whole "true name" thing and the rules as posted by Dale, not 3 days ago, pertaining to classic bikes is: <<<- We have focussed on the approximate period from the beginning of the Twentieth Century, up to the early 1980s. Certain classically produced modern bikes are considered "on topic" here, but those welded, injection molded, or glued modern wonders belong in some other mail list, not this one! Ditto for mountain bikes & balloon tired bikes. Those items have merit, but they just do not belong here. >>>

As you see even some "classicaly produced modern" bikes are on topic. My guess is most ouf you don't know about the new UCI rules in for the hour record, check these sites:

Anyway, since Boardman's bike had to be produced the same way that Merckx's bike was I was wondering how they produced it. It has Look on the down tube, but I doubt they built it. Did they just repaint a classic bike or did they find a tubeset of Merckx's vintage and bring Ugo out of retirement? Now I ask, why does this NOT belong on the list? Please police yourself before policing others and remember Dale is the person who decides what it on or off topic.

enjoy, Brandon Ives
