I agree that this does appear to be a high-end Peugeot (PX-10, PX-10LE, PXN-10, PY-10). Russ is probably right about this being late 70's. The lack of Nervex Pro lugs would tend to support late 70's, though some PX-10's came with simpler lugs even in the early 70's (I have a 1972 like that). Obviously repainted, as the Campy DO would logically be installed when refinishing, not to mention the non-original Reynolds decal in English rather than French. However, the distinctive fork crown with chrome epaulet marks this as a high-end Peugeot or equivalent model from another French marque, as does the frame geometry and half chromed forks and stays. Don't know what particular advantage there would be in passing off an equivalent Gitane, Lejeune, or Mercier as a PX-10, so I tend to believe this is as represented. Other than the English Reynolds, the replacement decals were probably correct at least within a couple of years. For $50 I'd say go for it. Remember, the Campy DO doesn't prevent using a correct Simplex derailleur.
