Season's Greetings:
I need help finding a rear brake caliper for a bike I'm resurrecting. I think this design was mentioned some months ago, but I've had no luck finding a suitable brake caliper/arch.
I have a Lejeune folder which uses very long-reach brakes (~80mm in the front). The rear is missing. Apparently, the mounting bolt/stud runs vertically through the rear brake bridge (rather than horizontally), and doubles as the center mount for the rear mudguard.
Anyone have a Mafac, Weinmann, or whatever of this design? I think if I were to cross-drill the rear brake bridge it would become too weak.
Hope this makes sense to someone. Sheldon?
Thanks,
Chris Beyer
