I agree with you. A random box the same vintage as the hubs is as good as the box those hubs were originally shipped in.

If Vectra4 were actively selling parts, then maybe this entire conversation would have some merit. Maybe. But I can't ever remember seeing his name as an eBay seller.

His dealings with me on an auction were exemplary. Given the Japanese infatuation with packaging, I think he just wants the darned box.

By the way, I'm still in search of that T.A. 170mm left crank arm. A nice box to go with it would be appreciated.
