Questions...questions....questions.....
Can anyone give me help with these ;
With the outbreak of war in 1939 Reynolds high manganese tubing became all but unobtainable (at least for bikes anyway) I presume because they were too busy producing the 20,000 Spitfire wing spars and 25,000 miles of light alloy and steel tubing . In what year did it become generally available again.... Please don't automatically say 1945 !
When was the 'Reynolds High Manganese' transer/decal dropped in favour of myriad of '531' transfer/decals.
Can anyone spare a copy of a 1950's or earlier High Manganese/531 spec. sheet ?
And totally unrelated to Reynolds - When did chromed fork tips become the fashion on lightweights ?
But I do appreciate you being round....:-)
