My first pair of clipless shoes were New Balance, purchased 7-7-90 at Peddler's Bicycle in Marlton, New Jersey for $59.99 (I still have the original box and receipt). :-) While I bought them to use with my first Looks, they came with a pair of slotted cleats. I retired them when I bought my first pair of Sidis, but when I got my PX-10 I dragged them back out and installed the slotted cleats. I only use them now when riding with toeclips.
