I have sorted out some more bits and pieces. All items are priced in $. Postage will be extra charged at cost. Enquire for actual cost if you like before deciding. Nitor one piece seat pin and black saddle, pin is 27.2mm and full length ­ many have been trimmed. Pin has one scratch in chrome about half way up, chrome on saddle rails is very good. Saddle itself has adjustable nosebolt and has some marks but nothing very deep. A very rare and early microadjust seatpin/saddle combo $105

Strata quill pedals Strata was one of the smaller British componenent makers in the late 40s and was a competitor to GB making stems, pedals and brakes. The pedals' chrome is very good ­ there are some signs of light surface rust in a few corners but are perfectly useable and have a nice patina. Complete with correct pedal caps with facility for greasing the bearings $75

Strata rear brake, non original brake blocks and shoes but otherwise excellent, ideal for fixed wheel bike. $30

TDC 4-speed 3/32in freewheel 14­20T NOS and in mint condition, rare $65

Double handlebar mounted bottle cage NOS Spring clips for securing the bottles. Complete with all three mounting clips. Cadmium plated steel, some surface rust but a wonderful period accessory $25

Herrailleur 3-speed 1/8in freewheel 16­20T freewheel. Excellent lightly used condition, should be fine with a new chain, wear is very light. $45

Stronglight track chainwheel to fit Campag Nuovo Record Track (144mm BCD) chainset 46T 1/8in NOS. Perfect and mint Much cheaper than Campag equivalent at $35

Universal Super 68 brake callipers. Excellent used condition, no nasty marks Missing some spacers and fitted with Weinmann brake pads/shoes. Great for 60s/70s road bike $45

Prior 3-speed 1/8in freewheel 13­18T. Excellent used condition. Prior were one of the best known freewheel makers in the 50s. $45

Handmade underslung track stem. 11cm. Very rare, but missing nose and expander bolts and will rechrome well. Rust is all over but nothing deep. Beautifully made. $20

Coloral bottle cork with two straw holes, Silver. Very rare normally the parts that is missing from the waterbottle. NOS $15

French aluminium brakes ­ make is unknown but they are obviously designed for balloon tyres. NOS and mint. Bolt to fork crown or seatstay bridge in normal manner. They have a centre-pull action which seems to be operated by a rapid screw which is enclosed in a housing between the top of the arms. Complete with levers. Brake pads are those wonderful French ones designed for use on Westwood or straight sided rims with a deep groove down the centre. I have never seen another pair in 20 years $135

Sloane¹s Complete Book of Bicycling 1st Edition 1970. 342pp Excellent condition w ith laminated dustjacket. Lots of period facts, details, components and bikes $30

Tony Doyle Six-day rider by Geoffrey Nicholson published 1992. Autographed copy Complete with dustjacket. Excellent biography of this World Champion pursuit rider and one of the best Six-day riders ever. $35

Simplex/Evian Catalogue no 50 1966. 90pp Evian were the British importers of Simplex, Stronglight, Mafac, FB, Ambrosio, Magistroni, Pivo, Nervex, Helyett and many other top brands. This is a wonderful large format catalogue with such rarities as Mafac Top-63 brake, Stronglight needle roller bearing bottom bracket illustrated. Very good condition. $75

Old Roads and New by Jock Wadley. 1972 128pp. Softback. This is one of the real classics of cycle journalism. It covers a wealth of cycle racing details from the 1920s through to 1970 or so including a lot on his friendship with Rene de Latour, the great French cycle journalist. There¹s an account of the author riding the Paris-Brest-Paris and a really wonderful up close account of the 1971 Tour de France. Copiously illustrated. I cannot recommend this book too highly ­ I don't say that often either. Very Good condition $75
