I have the hubs in question on ebay. They are the Luxe comp as proudly indicated on the sticker in the middle. The gold banded models (same writing on the foil sticker) that I have do indeed have thicker flanges at the spoke holes. Both are radiused around the spoke holes, have identical cones and locknuts. I hope this clarifies the discussions...if anyone is more curious you can contact me off of the list. I hope this does not break the rules of conduct, not a plug for the hubs! I would love to know which came first, the gold or red banded hubs?
