I spent today with a friend who is into model cars -- we went to a show. I wanted to related how I felt about the people I met and their hobby and how it relates to us. The people were fanatical about what was collectable and why. They also spent countless hours working on their creations to show them. To me they were children's toys and in my mind not a one was worth more than $5.00. I think all of us on this list need to remember that the population on the whole would feel the same way about us and our bikes. The population as a whole can accept a Rembrant as art but won't want to hang a Masi in a climate controlled room for viewing. I am going to call the Smithsonian and see if they have any Confente bikes and if they don't I am going to tell them they need to get one and have it on display.
