sam's post (below) is right on the mark. one man's ceiling is another man's floor. in recent months the quality of the topics on the list haven't interested me that much. the personal differences between listmembers are interesting because i consider my list-time 'entertainment', rather than real life. and what are any of of us except fodder for our neighbor's gossip?

everybody is either looking for information, opining on a subject, adding some anecdotes, or some/all of these. the problems here mirror our daily lives. the only difference is that this is dale's gig. he's paying the freight on all this. we are here because he has set up the forum.

if people want to lurk, fine. if they participate, fine. disagreeing on the compatibility of say, a cassette wheel going on a 60s cinelli will spark a debate. but there's no right or wrong. same goes for some of the issues posted in the last 3-4 days. leave the personal stuff 'at the door'. e-RICHIE http://www.richardsachs.com
