I think the repaint notion is a good one. I believe the early Drysdales('30s) were marketed as Velox Red Devils. Most were painted red. He was around to repaint a bike or provide decals into the '60s. Also is that a gap in the upper head lug?

I will be interested to see if the frame gets a bid at $500.
