I can't help too much with a price but I do think Crescents are neat.

I have almost finished building up an orange Crescent frame that I picked up for less than $100. I really like the looks of the orange paint and the Nervex lugs and the black and white checkerboard decals. It was a bit rough when I got it but I have touched up the paint scratches and decal scrapes with Testors enamel and polished out the rest of the paint with Flitz.

The brake reach is fairly long and the bike on the catalog cover scan <ftp://ftp.bates-lee.org/pub/crescent/> (thanks Duane!) shows that they can come with MAFAC centerpulls. The early black DuraAce sidepulls that I am trying to use just miss in the rear. I may file the slots to drop the shoes a hair.

By the way, does anybody know if a Swedish bottom bracket is English threaded? I assumed that but I couldn't budge the TA fixed cup. The campy tool doesn't fit. I am thinking of trying some tips that have popped up on CR recently, like Kroil and the bolt with two nuts, but it would be nice to know, for sure, which direction to turn.
