Greetings from New Jersey! I'm stuck in Parsippany/Fairfield for the next two weeks (except for Saturday/half of Sunday) with a windows laptop & phone modem instead of my Macs & cable connection... arrghh...

Anyway I was corresponding with Tom Hayes this weekend and he mentioned that Tressostar was stiffer than Cateye before Wes did, and I've noticed it too. The new Tressostar in the green box is even stiffer than the older red box. It does make it tougher to wrap.

Padding bars with old tubes does work well, but it tends to split after a month or two if uncovered. I have used mouse pads too, found a 11x14 thin pad for a buck at a computer show, and have cut it into strips and taped over it. Works well.

Another thing I'm going to research is I remember from 20+ years ago reading about using some sort of cloth sewing tape (basting tape?) for a handlebar wrap.
