It's really NOT worth THAT much... But it does look to be a nice bike, and in my size. It got bid up as high as it did because of curiosity about where the reserve is... And it is unrealistic. Not likely that anyone would pay the reserve price. I think the high bidders only kept their bids in, because there's at this point (before reserve met) no obligation to purchase, but the high bidders are in line to negotiate with the seller. The bike IS very collectible, but really only worth just a little more than what Confente bikes in that condition HAD been going for. The additional advertising eBay gave Confente as a collectible, probably makes them worth about 10-25% more than what they WERE worth. I hope to be able to deal with the seller on this bike, but YOU NEVER KNOW... EBay is a strange land, and someone may just meet reserve... Cheers,
