I'll go with Jerry on this one. My beat up old Simplex (the one that looks like cheap version of an LJ) outshifts my NR, even using bar-end shifters. It's more accurate and easier, especially riding around the hilly fire roads around here and shifting under pressure. Maybe it's the way I set them up but I doubt it.

Personally, I never found that the effort for the Campagnolo shifters or even the brake levers was any problem either. Maybe it's just me...
