There may be disagreement on how you count generations, but I'd say Mike's are third generation. I figger the second as the ones that looked just like the first but had some added metal between the upper spring/pivot housing and the place where the parallelogram arms attach. The first gen ones broke there if you sneezed on 'em so I consider the second gen the best.

The third gen (like Mike has) are useful only for a supply of pulleys and cages for when they wear out on real Rallys. ;) (Rallies?)
