Ebay item: 2109802247, French Laprade seatpost & Box
Back in November someone wrote in asking about nominations for light parts from the seventies. I remember hearing buzz about ERTD pedals, the Jubilee derailleurs, Hi-E wheels, Pino skewers, Galli TI brakes, and also the above item: a real Laprade seatpost. My roomate got one for his Grand Record.
Anyone know the Laprade story? Presumably Sekae licensed the design for their ubiquitous down-market version? The ebay seller implies it was the first one-bolt post, is that true?
