Tthe primary thread on road and track cogs is the same. 1.370" x 24 tpi, in the case of English (BSC). I assume there are Italian and French track hubs/cogs like there are English. Track hubs have a second threaded portion of smaller diameter and left-hand threading to accept a lock ring. Hey, if you have a Swiss track bike are the cogs just like French cogs, but with left hand threads? You REALLY need to use your lock ring then ;-) Tom Dalton Bethlehem, PA Steve Neago <questor@cinci.rr.com> wrote: Hello,
I have a Campy 12T 1/2 x 1 1/8" steel cog that fits the threads of NR LF rear hub. They are marked for Campy ... This is not a alloy top cog for Campy 1980's freewheels (I own several).
Why do Campy NR LF freewheel hubs accept this Campy 12T track cog when a true Campy Track lockring has a different threaded size? Were different models of Track hubs produced? Were "adapter" track cogs made specifically for freewheel hubs? I find no mention of this in any of the Campy catalogs that I own.
Thanks, Steve
