Since I have not actually seen these DiaCompe Gum Hoods, can anyone else confirm whether or not they have had problems with these DiaCompe Gum Hoods with Campy NR/SR levers? I wonder what is DiaCompe's actual product description is about these hoods? The seller claims to be factory authorized to sell them - whatever that is supposed to mean - warranty??? >>

I thought we addressed this right here in this list!

Let me summarize. These gum hoods are not at all a proper fit for any Campag lever made. They are NOT a good fit on Campag NR/SR. One could cram them on but the hood's shape does not mimic the brake lever's shape, so the result is gaps and voids, etc... These DiaCompe hoods DO fit the Weinmann copy DiaCompe brake levers, as well as Weinmann brake levers so common on lower to mid range "10 speeds."

IF you are quoting Richard Storino correctly, he made a distinct mis-statement, because the only hoods listed there that fit old school Campag are the Euro Asia's. Kool Stop never made hoods at all. I think Storino was hyperbolizing to cloak his embarrassment for his company not supporting the old stuff.
