Well,

Interesting. A very thought-provoking post. Let's see....

Baby-blue Jeunets and Franche-Comptes, white Roger Rivieres, red LeJeunes, pink Merciers, blue Follis tandems, and orange Stellas popped into my head when I read your post. The only ones I actually have are a red 531 LJ Championnat du Monde, and an orange Columbus SL Stella like the one on eBay today, except mine doesn't have the Campy vertical dropouts (way cool...).

One of the earliest "wow-inducing" bikes I ever saw as a wide-eyed college student was a black full-Campagnolo Stella with gold detailing and gold tubular rims back in 1974 or '75 at the "69-Mile Bike Race" at Beloit College in Wisconsin. Those were the days......

Oh, sorry, I drifted off there for a moment.

Others?

Cheers,
