Definitely all Japanese parts, but made in Waterloo. Nikko was in cahoots with Trek as Trek invested heavily in Nikkos bulge forming technology. Ironically by the time the early 1980s arrived, Trek broke off the relationship and went whole hog into their own (ugly IMO!) investment cast bits. Here is where you see Tim Isaacs familiar low-on-the-back seat stay binder bolt look, and "plug in", no miter, joints ("conjunctions" in Italian!) work their way into the designs... This stylistic slant is seen in the Match Paramounts too...
