Chuck/Walt: I'm with Walt most of the way...zero vintage riders most of the time (the tigged steel gets laughed at; at least the lugged gets murmured respect) -but then I am from the Land of L***speed. To keep bottles at bay and allow ample pick-em-up truck and "sport" utility V's bumper room I normally ride in all black, w/minimal logos (I get plenty of space from the motorcyclists though). Oddly, sometimes I tend to get more grief from Smoky Mtn tourists than the locals...I guess I'm an interruption in their busy vacation schedule, and they can feel comfortable embarrassing themselves away from home. And I DO NOT ride on Fridays...On the other hand, when with a group, I do generate bits of interesting conversation when I ride with my chromed Falcon and somewhat-matching jersey (no, its not chromed).
