Help,
I have just spent the last two hours trying to make a pair of Campagnolo late
'90s, non-ergo brake levers function with through-the-top, over the bars
cabling, but the cable stop in the levers roll in a couple of grooves. Some
of you must have tried to replicate the look of a classic setup with
late-model parts. Do I need two of those "wavy" pieces from the original
aero brakes to limit the travel of the stops? Is there some way to "shorten"
the travel by compressing the levers while setting the calipers, or something
else I am overlooking? Thank you for any consideration.
