Hearing that Serotta was still making lugged frames, I checked out the Serotta website. Looks like they are still making steel bikes in the mid 1990's way.

But what I really love is knowing that I can spend $4750 on a frameset. Hopefully this doesn't include a fork because I'd really like to be able to spend at least another $600 there. I's funny how Serotta's are just that little bit more than other Gucci bikes like Sevens and Pinarello Princes. As I sit in my corner office at Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe, I look out over the Manhattan skyline and think, "Heck, Serottas MUST be the best! I'll get one custom sprayed to match my new 745."

Maybe I'm a cynic, but I find it offputting that the Serrota's ad copy has language about "only make changes when they give benefits... we never make something new just because we think it will sell..." Let's see, they went to Ti when it was selling big in the 90's and now that Ti is dying (Tie-dying?) they are adding carbon one tube at a time. It's almost as funny as the new Litespeed aluminum bikes.
