The early NR rear derailleurs had 9 tooth jockey pulleys in place of the 10 tooth that were later fitted. These early pulleys also did not carry the Campagnolo name. I have also recently had a very early NR rear mech which instead of carrying simply 'patent' carried the words 'Campagnolo patent'. These early NR rear gears need some more research. As to SR first pattern rear gears I have one marked 77 - I think that was the last year. This has been discussed on CR before and I think it was eventually agreed that the new style SR gears were in by 1978 - I certainly have had new style SR gears dated 78. Perhaps there both styles of SR gear dated 77?
