Ultimate I ever witnessed

Late 1970's , but still applies , the material was available before the first bicycle of any kind was made .

A certain well-to-do bicycle shop owner in Corpus Christi , Texas ( his name was Sam too ) , owned an absolutely perfect and pristine Masi .

Behind the Cinelli-Unica suede covered saddle , there was a small drawstring bag , made entirely of suede leather , whose fawn-brown color just contrasted nicely with both the saddle and the paint color . Inside the bag ( safe from sunlight ) was , of course , a very carefully folded silk sew-up tire .

Very subtle .

As I recall , the drawstring of the little bag just matched the vivid yellow found in the Masi graphics .

Held in place by ( as I recall ) an Alfredo Binda Extra toe strap .

Nice .
