C-rec shifter install sequence:
1) aluminum stop plate 2) large bronze washer 3) shifter 4) set the small bronze washer on the notched stainless bushing and insert bushing to engage flats of boss 5) pair of stainless cup washers w/ concave faces together (some shifter sets had two thin and two thick. In this case use one thin and one thick per side) NB: early directions had an erroneous illustration showing spring washers in wrong orientation. 6) outer dust shield 7) thumb screw.
NOTES: a)be sure bosses are tapped deep, ideally w/ a bottoming m5 tap b) assemble w/ heavy oil like Campy or Phil wood. c) Shiter should pull back very easily but move forward w/ much more effort. But you know that.
