I've always wanted one (at least!) of every kind of bike I could get. My wife reminds me of how unrealistic this is. But here is a list of bikes that I have coveted, all of which should of course be my size. First the bikes I own: '78 Richard Sachs Tourer '71? Colnago Super and my new (old) '73? Jack Taylor curved seat tube fixed gear, path racer that I'm building up. A couple of others, just not applicable to the list.

Bikes I have coveted: Schwinn Paramount track bike around '70 in robin's egg blue with all the chainrings and cogs. silver Cinelli Super Corsa, '66-'70. a '68 Peugeot PX-10, white with black nervex lugs, the one I had with the changes to it that I liked at the time (I can be a real sentimental slob). a Woodrup road bike to replace the one I let go back in the early '70's, before the Woodrup Crit bike that was responsible for my shattered elbow. Boy were they pretty. A Whitcomb of America racing frame, in that tan with the black details. Bob Jackson racing tricycle with one of those great flamboyant paint jobs. a '60's Frejus, I just love those old style decals and the elegant spidery style of those bikes. a Jack Taylor tandem, also with the curved rear seat tube and lots of pinstriping. A '70's English touring bike, with Reynolds tubing, Hurlow, Holdworth, Mercian, I'm not picky and just about any old italian classic with wooden rims and fender brazeons for those spidery little narrow racing fenders. '50's? '60's? And the one I want most: A Richard Sachs Road bike with all the latest jazz painted to match the tourer.

There was a stingray style bike at a '70's national bike show that was hinged at the seat as well as the front that you could do a 180 degree turn in about 2' of space, metallic blue. A Schwinn Orange Crate, and the list goes on and on. And since its not to be covered on this list, this doesn't even include the ti and carbon examples I'd like to own or the mountain bikes just to have, rigid, hard tail and full suspension, not necessarily to ride very far.

The main thing is NO ALUMINUM frames! Not even a Klein!
