I see no correlation between checkbook and skill as driver or rider. Ok, sour grapes it is to some extent. The simple act of writing the big check does not mean the owner is up to the task. I've been around car shows and vintage races and you can tell the guys that know their machines and really love them and appreciate them. When I ride my go fast bikes I try to do so on fast rides and hold up my end of the rider/machine partnership. I'm by no means the fastest guy in our club and I don't race. Some times I take one of the fast bikes, sometimes one of the critters. Just my opinion, didn't think everybody would agree or like it.
