I have many times ordered from BC at Renaissance Cycles and not received any sort of confirmation but have _always_ received the goods promptly and exactly as ordered. His integrity is a long established fact among those who hang in Dale's living room. He travels and seems busy but he's reliable. As for how the business operates as such and may or may not reply immediately to email or send e-receipts, that's something I am sure he/BC/Ren Cycles would/will update at some point. Their webpage has made improvements, it no longer, for example, reloads everytime you click on a picture.

Classic bike content...my modern classic Mariposa 650B has proven itself time and again of late, largely by being me being caught out for dozens of miles of riding in the rain and the dark. Spring has been cold and pretty wet here.

No one has mentioned this either, I think, but Pegoretti is building a limited edition lugged steel bike called the Luigino. Scroll down from here http://www.bikyle.com/pegoretti.asp to see some nice pictures, including the Campy dropouts. Are these the 1010s? I like the cable guide picture too and the flat fork crown. I much prefer this blue paint to the gold example you might have seen from Milan Show pictures. But any bike that's more or less French blue is okay by me...
