Mark,

For those who were not present for the lesson on how to pronounce Medici; it's MED-eh-chee. Most say me-DEE-chee. Of course it won't sound right until you say the word smoothly.

What's being effected by the different dimentions you cite (seat angle, head angle, tt length, BB height, and fork rake all bear on the resulting "front center"; the distance between the center of the BB shell to the front axle center as measured along the axle line of the frame. Naturally what these dimentions are plus the length of the chainstays, position of your saddle, length of stem, reach of your bars, and how the weight is distributed on your own body add to the effect of the dimentions in question. Without opening another can of worms (I think we've had enough worms here for a while, don't you think?) I'll just stick to the simple part which is toe clip overlap or lack of it, which comes down to front center. Beyond that we enter the world of discussions that have WAY too many variables, personal opinions, and multitudes of possibilities. I'll pass on those, thank you. As we've seen recently, hammering out anything concrete regarding the ride of any given bike and why it is so is just too difficult and doesn't seem to enlighten us significantly.

You EAT! asparagus????? OH-MY-GOD!

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA What is a Master Framebuilder exactly; not sure if I've ever met one. I found a membership card in a Cracker Jacks box once but I wasn't sure if I should take it seriously.
