I wish to offer many words of thanks to all those who responded earlier. I followed many people's advice and will follow more in the future on other auctions. (including getting a better digital camera!) In the aftermath I will comment by saying that I send the individual what I considered to be a gracious email expressing I wouldn't part with my bike at that price and also that I realize I could have done better to represent my product. I also stated that take away the new parts and leave the old...and we could talk. And talk he did...and purchase he did. Seems he has been waiting for something like this for a long time. He was very pleasant in responding and also stated he had sent his original email in haste and after a long and busy work day. We "communicated" and everything worked out for both in the end. So once again, many thanks and just another note to all, remember how easily joking and innocent jests can be misconstrued in an email environment where we aren't lookin! g at the individual when we make a comment.
