Dear friends,
As many of you know, my father has been fighting a battle with cancer. This morning he lapsed into a coma and began the final stage of his illness. He is resting comfortably and in no pain. He may not last the night, or he may linger for a few days - the doctors cannot be more specific, but he is unlikely to regain consciousness.
As a result I will probably be at the hospital for some time, but I will try to check my email from time to time. If you don't hear from me for a week or two, this is the reason.
I am sure you will understand that I must unfortunately cancel our bike tour to New Bremen this coming weekend. (I have been using my time mapping and checking the routes as a way of dealing with the stress of my dad's illness, and it is somehow ironic that he should deteriorate so rapidly during our final week of preparation.)
I may try to re-organize our tour some happier day in the future.
Regards,
