Hey guys!
Here in Europe there is a light like this already in use!! It works like this, there is a battery pack that plugs into the wall socket. When charged you plug it into the rear end of the lighting unit. Battery pack is part of the light so you really can't tell that it's a battery!...........Burn time is 2.5 hours.............Need more power, carry an extra battery! It's about the same size as a Cateye unit 5'' X 3''. The best part about it!............ The price, roughly $ 20.-. Currently it's for 220 but with an adaptor it can be easily be used there in the States! Toss in the cost of postal fees and you are looking at $ 30.- tops...........Got one on one of my bikes,.................very cool! Sorry not trying to make a sale here,.............WE are already in ''DEEP S!$#%!''
BC...........And the gang!!.........Eindhoven Holland.................Was going to look into what it would take to make it available to the U.S market!!.........But other fish jumped into the tank and swallowed this thing!......Maybe I'll send Boss Dale a sample along with a check for my jerseys!............Sorry Dale, blame it on the ROAD TRIPs!! Dugg up 200 ''BRAND NEW!'' Colnago curved forks!
I have thought of that. I have not looked into what it may take to pull it off, electronics wise. I think the main reason I have been putting it off is that with the current cost of the super bright LED and the machined aluminum heat sinks necessary to deal with the heat generated it will at this time almost be the most expensive light produced. Add a generator and it certainly will be. If I made this thing it would be nice for once to actually have people purchase it and not just consider it some expensive toy. To be blunt I think people who need more than 12 hours burn time are rare, but if it turned out to be a viable need I would look into making it work.

I'd like to see pictures. Just a thought, if you had a generator in the
system, you wouldn't need to find an outlet to recharge. That could be
pretty
handy depending on where you are traveling.
