Chuck, and members,

SR levers, at some point, WERE being produced without the lettering on the end of the barrels. So, this is not a fullproof criteria for determining if a lever is SR or Victory. However, if you do see lettering on the barrel, you can at least be sure it is not a Victory lever. Victory levers are simple to identify:

1) Victory levers have the shield logo, not the vertical lettering as on the SR. 2) The three vertical rows of holes in the Victory lever all start (from top) at the same level. On SR, each outer row extends higher up on the lever.

I loved finding that one out! (The difference Wayne mentioned is that the little aluminum barrel that is the pivoting cable end holder in the side of the lever doesn't have any lettering engraved on it on the Victory lever. The Super Record lever has it. I always thought that Campagnolo just stopped putting the lettering on the Super Record lever!)
