Just in case other members are unaware:

The latter part of production of SR brakesets also incorporated white brake hoods and the 2 piece lever clamp.

SR levers, at some point, WERE being produced without the lettering on the end of the barrels. So, this is not a fullproof criteria for determining if a lever is SR or Victory. However, if you do see lettering on the barrel, you can at least be sure it is not a Victory lever. Victory levers are simple to identify:

1) Victory levers have the shield logo, not the vertical lettering as on the SR. 2) The three vertical rows of holes in the Victory lever all start (from top) at the same level. On SR, each outer row extends higher up on the lever. >>
