You've done what everyone else has and now know why Simplex/Mavic
retro-friction levers were so popular. There is one more thing you
can try and that is to use some nylon plumbers tape in different
places. Sometimes this method works by tightening up the tolerances
of the interface. The problem with the Campagnolo shifters has
always been finding the fine line between shifts well and doesn't
slip.
