Ah but it can, and has been! Note the tape on the downtube with the gash in it, and note also that the brake is actually bent from having been so turned. ;)

The apparent lack of fork rake should make this a very stable bike for going straight, but it won't be very eager to turn. Not what most of us would like in road manners but good in a straight-line TT bike.

The auction description says Hi-E hubs but I'll bet a gross of Twizzlers that those are Weyless, not Hi-E.

The crank bolts are probably Arnold Industries, aluminum alloy, don't use 'em to crank down the cranks - use a steel bolt for that, then remove it and install the alloy for riding.

Looks like a Saba crown that has been sculpted. I like Saba crowns, especially for bikes with short-point lugs; they are so tiny.
