Ian Cammish the all time British time trialling great. In 1989 he won the British Best All- Rounder competion for the ninth time setting a record that is unlikely to be beaten.Nine BBAR titles in 10 seasons. The competition is held over three distances 50 mile, 100 mile and 12 hours and your three fastest times over the T.T season are averaged together to give your average speed over the three distances.Cammish bowed out of the BBAR in 1989 having surpassed the previous total of 5 all-rounder titles set by Phil Griffiths.Ian was the first man to ride an open 50 at more than 30mph yet he had never beaten 50 minutes for 25 miles, he smashed his own 100 record by 6-46 with a 3-31-53 and went on to win the 1983 BBAR with an average of 27.355mph. He really was the superstar of British time trialling probably his best ride was to lower the100 record to 3-16-56 an average of 30.5mph.
