fwiw, threads, hub drilling (32 or 36), crank length, chainring combo, and toe clip size were all 'to order' items. in most cases, u.s. importers probably spec-ed groups in saleable combinations. but there was a form you filled out prior to the p.o.'s and thus would receive what you ordered. i ordered 10 groups at the front end of all this and they cost in the $400 range... e-RICHIE chesta', ct (private mail to brian-do you remember the preview of the prototype groups that amos york gave us, {you, me and tesch}, at the 83? ny bicycle show???)
