That is correct. I can only vouch for clear coating with Imron. It is very friendly to other paint systems from what I have experienced and decals as well. Cleaning and preparing the frame make a tremendous difference on what kind of results one gets. Many choices have to be made in every case; sometimes you can be surprised at what happens. Experience goes a really long way when it comes to touching up stuff. It's the painting equevelent of frame repairs as opposed to building new frames. Extra tricks and skills are required for consistant success. Of all the things I do, paint touch-ups are my least favorite only because there is no way to be certain of the end results and how much time it will take to do it. It causes me to procrastinate at times because there is so much work and time involved.
