What is funny is that somehow I wound up with 1/2 a pair of these, years ago. A well-known bike shop asked me if I'd spend the time to overhaul and put back together a Herse tandem from that era. Unfortunately, one brake was damaged and had to be replaced, so I threw the other into a box. Doubt that I kept it, but maybe it will be disgorged again by "the system" (that which magically restores the missing sock of a pair 6 months later). Hmmm, would it look bad to have a canti set that was 1/2 Herse and 1/2 Mafac on the same wheel. What a half-harse idea...
