I have gotta say in all honesty that all the used Campagnolo equipped bikes that I have had and all the crank sets I have bought at swap meets in Southern California, I have never had one with a worn out chainring. Do people actually wear out their Campagnolo 42, 52, and 53 chainrings??? I've never seen a shortage of used chainrings in good to excellent condition. Can the situation be that different 125 miles south of me?

I'd say my favorite substitute for Campagnolo chainrings would be Campagnolo chainrings. Do more than a handful of people actually ride their bikes enough to wear out their chainrings?
