I stumbled on this "vintage DeRosa 18 speed Italian Road Bike" its a 1978 model, and looks very nice, good pictures and not too informative description. My question is if it has Suntour 6 speed (13-24) freewheel, and NR 42/54 cranks, how can it be 18 speed? http://ebay.com/<blah>

The other one I like is a 1987 (OT) DeRosa frame, in which the seller doesn't give info on the bike, but does say that estimates for the price of 50's and 60's DeRosas isn't even possible. HUH?

As to outing shoddy/questionable auctions, I learn alot from this list, and often I don't know enough to know what I'm looking at, so I for one appreciate pointing out not the glaring errors, but the subtle ones.
