Scott, Are you only interested in the 20 or so Masis that were at VR, and just Faliero Masis, or will you be documenting all period Masis. Please use the following information, if desired.

CR populus, I have a red Masi G.C. from Matteo in Italy (Alberto built), that I thought was mid 1970s, but has quite a few features common to a "newer" 1980s bike: under b.b. cable guides, b/on shifters, shorter than the usually long Campy rear dropouts (no holes for the Portacatena), 2 t/tube cable guides (it's a 52c-c frame), and a fairly durable paint job, seemingly with some clear coating. It is stamped with "V-54" under the b.b. and on the steerer, like the mid 70s frames from that (Verona?) factory. Also, the seat lug point aiming down the front of the seat tube is excessively long and slender (still with a matching elongated heart cutout). Is this normal? In the attempt to build it up, period correct, and to bring it to the next Cirque (or the Chicago event!!!), I need to know what period correct is!!!

Can anyone offer any insights please? I have many photos available, to anyone interested, please email...

Best regards, Mark Agree Southfield MI
