Subject: [CR]User wheels for mid-60s Cinelli

I have a set of Phil Wood hubs, that are close but not quite period correct (I *think* Phil Wood components weren't available for several years after this bike was made. Don't know my Phil Wood history) for my mid-60s Cinelli, and I want to use them to build up some clincher wheels so I can 'save' the original hubs/wheels some wear and tear and not rely on tubulars for my longer rides. While I may not make the decision based on replies, I still would like to hear your thoughts on whether this is an abomination that would relegate my soul to the flames of CR Hell, or if this is not too far out of the question. Thanks in advance for your input.
