I'll remind you of Shaw's Lightweight Cycles in Santa Clara.

At one point they had the frame table right in the shop area where all could see it. This was the first shop I'd seen align a frame and put emphasis on proper frame preparation before building the bike up. I remember watching Terry one afternoon and having him explain every step to me.

I won't build up another steel bike, even a old bike that is new to me, without aligning the frame. Makes a huge ride difference.

What I liked about Shaw's was they were classy without being pretentious.
